Write and Publish Your Own Book
|
I was born in Southeastern Michigan in 1993. When I was very young, I realized I had a passion for reading and writing because I always had books close at hand. |

When I was eight years old I wrote my first book. It was a children’s book and was complete with artwork and a tremendous story line. Although I did not submit it for publication, I still have it and one day I will. As I got older my passion for writing increased. When I was thirteen I saw numerous reports on the news about illegal immigration and it hit me like a ton of bricks that I wanted to write a novel about it. So I went to my father and told him about my idea and he told me to follow my dreams. I spent the next year researching and writing The Crossing. After that we sent it to an editor who said it was a tremendous novel. I struggled over the next few months with all the tedious changes I had to make and the never-ending details involved, that I felt like it was never going to go to print. Every time I had good news about the book it seemed like it was overshadowed with long delays to get it just right. Then all of a sudden, the next thing I knew the book was published and ready for distribution. The experience I had writing my first novel is one that will stick with me for the rest of my life. I also am a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and enjoy hockey. My favorite hockey team is the Detroit Red Wings. I enjoy swimming, jet skiing, and most other water sports. I have one brother and enjoy spending time with my family. I love animals and have an extremely intelligent golden retriever that can do numerous tricks. I also like to attend my schools football games and enjoy being with my friends. I have met so many wonderful, kind people in the process of getting The Crossing published, that I truly believe everyone has an incredible story of their own life to tell. |
