Reading in the Park

I was invited to speak on 3-18-10 in Wixom, Michigan, at Reading in the Park for a multi-district event. I, as well as two other authors, will be speaking for about fifteen minutes and then reading a page from each of our books. I have some preliminary copies of my third book, For Love or Honor, which should be out in a few months, and I will be reading a page from that as well. Thank you Sandy Richards for inviting me. I hope it is a great time for all.

Attached you will find information about the event.

  • National Champions, We Won

Congratulations to my brother and my dad for winning the U-15 boys National Championship for indoor soccer on 3-7-10. My brother and my dad have been trying to win it for five years and finally did. They won every game except one which they tied. They were in the zone in the finals and won handily. That just goes to show you what hard work and perseverance will do.

    Good job Evan and dad.

    Love Taylor

  • Michigan Reading Association

On Saturday 3-6-10, I was invited to be the guest speaker at the annual reading event for The Michigan Reading Association in Oakland County. Marie Thomas and her associates put on an annual event where the top students from the district come for a morning of fun and events. They have all sorts of activities for the students including a raffle and a book fair. I spoke to about ninety students and sixty parents about the importance of reading and writing. The presentation was highlighted with a question and answer session for the students and then a short video afterward. The event was a blast and I got to meet a lot of tremendous students who will be the country’s future leaders.

Thank you Mrs. Thomas. You and the other teachers that were there are definitely an asset to Oakland County and your students.
